Crosswing
Designed for a family of builders, this home is crafted with a focus on precision details and a connection to the property. With a plan organized around a T-shaped layout, the design embraces the property’s rear landscape, creating wings that offer natural light and views from multiple directions.
The residence is expansive in scale, yet it avoids being flashy, opting instead for quiet elegance. From the street, the architecture feels refined and reserved. But once inside, the home opens up dramatically—especially in the elongated wing at the back which holds the main gathering spaces and primary suite.
The T-shaped massing allows the most frequently used areas of the home to bathe in light and views from three sides while maximizing connection to the outdoors and offering privacy.
Throughout the interiors, sleek custom millwork and hidden moments elevate the everyday. The kitchen features a concealed pantry and integrated appliances, while the warm material palette and muted tones provide continuity across all spaces of the home. These design moves blend the client's preference for traditional comforts with a more modern architectural approach.
The client played an active role in shaping the vision—pushing for a level of execution that would showcase their building expertise. The result is a home that quietly communicates sophistication: not through opulence, but through attention to detail, spatial clarity, and the ambition to build something lasting.
